FOR CHRISTMAS...

Are you wondering how you can make a difference this Christmas season? If so...you can donate to this wonderful cause. His name is Nicholas. He lived a very short 6 1/2 years. Cancer took him. He was my daughter's classmate and his mother is my good friend. She takes all the money donated and buys gifts for children with cancer. Then on Christmas day, she and her family delivers them to the cancer patients up at the hospital, in honor of Nick. Another great reminder to be thankful for what we have.

Remember the reason for the season.

I agree it is so important to give back any way you can. Whether it is in time or money. If we would each donate one day a month to service this would be an even greater country to live in. We are all so fortunate to have what we do (even when we feel picked-on or burdened) that we should all share with those that are truly challenged and in need of a little boost.

I love that she's found something to put a smile on her family's faces, for they will be smiling when they're through on Christmas.

What a beautiful tribute to her son. Donations are tax deductible with a Tax ID number, does she have one? :) My good friend in San Diego knits Kids' caps for Cancer, she's nearing 90! Thanks for sharing! Anyone putting up Christmas lights this year? Remember this: handling coated electrical wires of Christmas lights can expose you to lead, a chemical known to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after use!

How sad to have lost her child to cancer. A girl at work lost her daughter who was diagnosed at 4months with leukemia and spent most of her young life (one year) in Children's Hospital. What a wonderful thing to do to make these ill children as happy as possible during the holidays. It certainly gives us something to think about.
