Cousin Abbey ran the show.  We enjoyed some songs, a few scriptures, a lesson by Steve, some double mountain climbers for the activity and a talent courtesy of Kaleb.
Last night we had the revolving glasses.  Each of us had to wear them when it was our turn to participate.
Uncle Steve rocked the glasses.
Which one of these girls is not like that other?
(Abbey needs to teach my girls how to sit properly on the couch.)
Somehow FHE always ends with physical contact.
(any guesses who won?)

Kaleb returned home from his high adventure trip on Saturday evening.  They canoed for 65 miles and along the way he got into some poison ivy.  Kaleb itched and itched and itched all week...to the point of creating an open wound on the top of his foot.  By Sunday morning it swelled and became red and hot.  We took him in that night and the ER gave him IV antibiotics along with oral antibiotics and steroids.
Today I returned with him for his second round of IV antibiotics.
 His feet look remarkably better.
I brought along some entertainment with us.
(it can be really boring sitting and waiting in the ER)
We have to return again for a third dose of IV antibiotics and then I think we can call it good.

Friday we gathered for some family bonding - stacking wood.
Uncle Roger has a BIG pile...
We accomplished a LOT with only a few flesh wounds as a result.
And these two were our cute cheerleaders!
We took a break for some lunch...
And then I picked up the 'almost birthday boy' and took advantage of a snuggle.
It was a good day...

The Schenewarks are in town and so I packed up some of my family and headed down for some fun.
The fun included time with cousins...
 (because cousins are best)
 Ice Cream...
 more cousins...
 Princess Breyer...
 professional do's by Roonie...
 and more cousin bonding.
(and this was just Thursday)

Life has been extra busy since Jovante's arrival and I finally feel like we are in a rhythm.  So, now that things have calmed down...I decided to sneak away for some fun on the lake.  We had perfect weather which made for a perfect day.  (thanks Kara!!!)
