SERIOUSLY?

Hello my husband, goodbye my husband
(saw him for 15 min. since arriving home Tuesday night)

I really didn't just fall off the face of the earth. I promise you were not left hanging from this continued DRAMA in my life intentionally. You can check back over at Ben's blog for the "rest of the story" (as Paul Harvey would say). Why the delay? Well...I've been incapcitated for the last 48 hours or so. While up at Dartmouth I failed to mention that I too needed to be seen because I was hemorrhaging. They did blood work, gave me an exam and then sent me home because my blood work looked good and there was no sign of infection, etc. Both Ben and I got home from the hospital around 11pm and we both went right to bed. Around 1am I woke up covered in blood. I changed and went right back to bed because I was so tired. Again I woke up an hour later covered in blood again. This time I called my doc. and again she assured me that my blood work looked really good and that I should just keep an eye on things over the next couple of hours or so. Well, things continued to progress and the hemorrhaging seemed to be picking up. At 5am I called her back and she told me to go to the ER. I woke Steve and off we went. By 8am I was told that I needed an emergency D&C due to the continued bleeding. I wanted to be transferred up to Dartmouth but realized that I was too medically fragile to travel 1 1/2 hours away due to the hemorrhaging. They performed the D&C around 9am and kept me overnight because I had lost so much blood and my hematocrit went from 38 to 26 overnight. I had also developed a fever and needed oxygen for some time after the procedure. I arrived home today around noon. Apparently my life hasn't seen enough drama.:) So now I get to recover from yet another procedure for the next few days or so.

Hoo-rah!

It's great to hear you are home; we were starting to worry and wonder about Ben and you, so thanks for the update (after a now-understandble delay!).

We will keep you in your prayers. Hope to see you Sunday at Church, if you're up to it.

That tends to be more hecktic then one needs. I had the same thing about four weeks out after having Hannah B. I am glad you are on the mend and (knock on wood) life will be a little less adverturesome for awhile. Love you Stacie

Oh, I hope you feel better soon. The blood loss will turn out to be a little harder to get over. It took a couple of weeks to recover after having a lot of blood loss. I am thinking about you.Call Anya and get my phone number. I would love to talk to you. If you don't have her phone number, email her!!

Becky--enough already!! What I am amazed at is your doctor!! Just wait it out? Come on now, let's not fool around. Hope you are feeling better, and please take it easy. Did you have a blood transfusion or are they going to check on your hematocrit to see if it has gone up to normal. Sorry you have to go through all this stuff. Love and prayers to you. Aunt Shirley

Glad he's home. Glad you're home. Glad your birthday is THIS WEEK. Glad you're older than me. Remember what I said about "soiling" I don't want to have to put you in a home.
Glad you're my friend :)

Hope you are feeling better really soon! D&C's are no fun :( It seems like you are being put through the refiners fire. I am sure you will be pure gold when you are done.

You are amazing just like your sister.

Oh Becky! So much drama is right! Someday in the great beyond...you and Ben will laugh and cry together at these events that you've shared as mother and son!
Rest up!
