PROM

Be careful what you ask for...
Junior Prom 1991
(HOLY HAIR)
The story goes...
My mom was on a mission.
A mission to find a dress for me.
She wanted one that came up to my chin.
She found it.
And bought it.
I wore it.
My prom date: Brian Christensen.
(The only other mormon aside from Ben in my grade.)
He was one of my best friends in high school.

Here I am being crowned as Prom Queen. (whatever) Let's just say that I felt a little 'overdressed' for the occassion, me and my covered shoulders/neck and all.

Now that is a modest prom dress. What a great example you are to this generation. hee, hee. No, really you look great, too bad you weren't "The Lady in Red."
Was that during high school for you?

I'm sure you were a great example to all the girls out there. I thought you looked great!!!!

How VERY Victorian of you. If I didn't ready the captions I would have thought it was the high school production of Pride and Prejudice.

Ellen is hilarious!
You DO kind of look related to a nice table cloth...
By the way. Aren't you so glad that you have THIS picture to show your kids? The standard has been set.
I demand a re-do of that fabulous hair!!

I think you look GORGEOUS!

In the last picture, I love how the girl behind you is eyeing your feet.

ChefTom said...

Nanci, she isn't eying her feet, she is thinking "Mom has a tablecloth just like that."

Becky said...

hey..that's not what she's thinking...silly tom and nanci. she's TOTALLY wishing she was wearing WHITE TIGHTS to go along wiht those sexy white shoes. i'm just sayin'.

Love the picture, Becky. You look very demure, my dear. And, quite beautiful at that. Just think of all the guys who were drooling because of your beauty. And congratulations for being prom queen--that's an honor.

I think you looked Beautiful!

Funny story this week I got a friend request on facebook from the guy I went to my first dance with. I had to get out the dance pictures to compare...lets just say he has changed a LOT.

Made my kids laugh to see the farrah fawcett hairstyle.
