TODAY

It's voters Tuesday you know. Wasn't sure if you knew because we haven't had enough of those callers and those commercials saying "who hasn't done what" - WHATEVER! I'll be SO happy when today is OVER. I just want to know WHY we all can't get along. Seriously, I learned THAT in kindergarten.
Went in for more blood work today. Apparently I'm rather anemic again. SURPRISE? I've been battling this issue since I got really sick in the summer. I can't even walk up the stairs without gasping for breath. It's sad. I feel old. Wait...I am old. I'm taking my three iron pills a day, eating BEEF and drinking prune juice. STILL TIRED. I'll find out tomorrow how low I am.
This is a HUGE shout out to Papa Don, we picked pears off his pear tree a few weeks ago and canned them today. My husband was an excellent helper. (except for when he was complaining about his hands being all sticky and stuff) Provident Living people...these jars are headed to my basement for their long winters nap.
I VOTED. My mommy will be proud. I dragged my pale face, tired rear out the door to go cast my vote. I got my sticker friends. I earned it. Thank you and amen.

man, I didn't get a stinkin' sticker! But I sure was glad to be able to cast my vote.

Speaking of low iron--do you like raisin bran? I was told that it is yet another thing you can eat to help your iron (and tastes better than prune juice to me!). Hope the news from the doctor is that things are looking UP.

I've got my sticker too, New Hampshire! And, save me a pear when we get our first Nor'easter!

Becky, you are a saint, good for you for voting and canning pears. I didn't get a sticker either, Paula and Kya did. I want one!

No, Becky, Thank YOU.
No stickers in my town, apparently.
Thank you for voting.
And thank you for caring enough to be your OWN doctor, when some hospitals aren't hospitable enough to provide one for you.
And THANK YOU for showing me that delicious looking picture of those pears! 'Cuz I didn't can a single one of those guys this year. I'll be heading north when I get a pear craving. Looks like today was a winner. All around.

Way to vote! I'm glad you got your sticker! My baby ate mine a few minutes after I got home! I think you deserve a sticker for canning, too! Way to go!

We didn't get any stickers either. Was sad to hear the results of the election. Your pears look absolutely beautiful--should enter them in a contest! My friend Fran who lives in NC said her daughter thought she should start canning vegetables etc. Awhile ago she wanted to know how to make B&B pickles and preserve them. I sent her my recipe and also told her to purchase the Ball Blue Book, as that gives you all the instructions you need. Evidently she hasn't done that. Good job, Becky. Love Aunt Shirley

Those pears look great! I hope you are feeling better and you're able to get your iron back up.

Have fun this weekend. Sounds like big plans are brewing.

I got no sticker! You are so lucky!

Get feeling better! I can bring you a big juicy steak, maybe that will help your iron!

I got my sticker too. Yeah for stickers. You are an amazing woman, drawing blood, canning pears and voting...now that's what I call a successful day. Just wish our votes made more of a GOOD difference.

You need to eat all those jars of pears. Then you'll feel better.

Seriously though, try out that progesterone cream. My mom was badly anemic (almost needing a full blood transfusion). When she started using progesterone cream, her health was greatly improved. No more anemia!

why would you make a comment like "why can't we all get along" and then post "ugh, that's all I have to say" on someone's blog who was simply pointing out the historical difference of Obama winning? I'm tired of all the republican hypocracy.

i'm tired of people that complain on other people's blogs anonymously.

It's bad form to blog anonymously and complain because the personal blog you are spamming is tilted hard right.

Not surprising, don't address the question.

I don't have an issue with addressing your question...I have issue with your cowardness.

By saying "ugh", I was simply stating that I am TIRED of hearing, reading, seeing anything that has to do with politics - the end.

Hey Anonymous, why don't you come out of the shadows so we all know who we are dealing with.

And for the sake of this blog, I won't start on the hypocracy of the kool-aid drinking Obamafants.

But if you would like to continue that portion of the discussion, you can find me at www.cheftomwalker.blogspot.com
I would be more than happy to discuss the impending doom of this great nation.

I don't have a blogger profile and neither of you know me, does it make a difference if I tell you my name is Lucy? I'm not afraid for you to know my name, it makes no difference.
