BREAKING GROUND

Happy early Mother's Day to me! Today my husband came home with a NEW tiller for our garden. Can I just tell you how EXCITED I am? I love to garden but I hated getting the garden ready because we have always done it by hand - very tedious, especially living here in the GRANITE STATE! Anyway, all the gardens from last year are tilled and ready to be planted, all in less than 30 minutes. Steve is even making me another garden towards the back of the yard ~ BRING IT ON! It's a great gift and even better is the man behind the machine. Zucchini, here we come...

We're terrible gardeners here. The only thing we can keep alive is rhubarb, which will survive anything. Consequently, we filled our garden with it, so we can pretend we know what we're doing. :)

You have inspired me. Planting the garden has been on my to do list so today I went and bought the cold vegetables. Now to just plant them. Can't wait for the harvest!

I just finished getting my garden ready BY HAND last week!(it really was terrible) I still have pains this week. Maybe doing it by hand will make my vegis grow better sort of like making cookies or bread by hand seem to taste better!
It is nice wish, but I would choose the modern technology anyday!

I'm so glad that our daughters have my gardening gene...Where were you while in high school. Isn't it funny how things change as you get older.

Yeah for Steve, that rocks. We are renting our home, so no garden, but I am anxious to get my own home and get one started. Maybe I will call Steve to come help.
