THE YELLOW BUG

We took the kids out the other night for some fun in the park.  On our way home Steve spotted THIS yellow beauty.  It's a vintage bug.  The two oldest were BEGGING to take it home.  They were envisioning THIS being the car they would drive when they got their license. (keep dreaming)  I told them driving a vintage mini van would be just as cool.  (it's 10 years old, that counts, right?)  Besides, if anyone got a new (old) car...it would be ME!  We had a good laugh watching Steve try to fit inside.  Have you ever seen the movie "The Incredibles"?  If so, you'll know why we were laughing. :)
We had our fun for the night and then said goodbye to the cute, yellow bug.

It is a cute car, probably wouldn't handle speed bumps very well...just a thought. ;-)

You guys are so much fun. My husband would have driven right past it and told the kids to "keep dreamin'".

Awesome photo comparison--reminds me of my 16th, when Steve took me out "car shopping" while all my surprise guests arrived.

i dont even mind the colour.... my girlfriends father had one of these when we were growing up...(we were to poor to even own a car) and i still remember the smell of the leather seats and the hum of the engine as i used to get to go out with them sometimes..(very rare occasions).. "the egg beater" we called it... sometimes those sorts of cars are better left on the lot as the repair parts are so expensive if something goes wrong... but it is nice to remember thanks...

If that's the model where the gas engine is in front, you wouldn't want it. But, very funny indeed.
