SICK

I still have illness in my home...
have I mentioned this yet?
Kaleb was home with the flu
(respiratory kind)
for 5 days before crawling back to life.
He has taken a nap everyday since.
Kayla dropped on Tuesday.
She's still horizontal,
fighting the battle.
She spiked a fever again tonight
and asked for some more popsicles.
(our meager supply ran out)
I jumped in Ruby
(our red van)
at her request,
(the non-handicap one)
poor DS has a flat tire.
I invited Stevie to join me.
As we were driving along,
merrily, merrily...
the "check engine" light started
FLASHING!
(that's never a good sign)
I nudged Stevie to look at it.
We both shrugged our shoulders,
and went back to singing
Taylor Swift songs.
About 30 seconds later...
the car starts to heave with a little ho.
I told Stevie to HANG ON TIGHT
as we were in for a ride.
That ride lasted about 3 more seconds,
and then Ruby gave up.
I think she caught the flu.

I am sick of sickness too! We have had coughs, not breathing around our house. Knock on wood, no flu!

Hope everyone(including the vans)is feeling better soon!

:P I think you must be garnering huge points somewhere! I think NH eats cars for appitizers. We went through 6 or 7 cars in our 5 1/2 year stint there. Good luck hope it just has the flu and nothing terminal.

You'll have to look into an automotive flu shot for Ruby. How did your test go?
:)

Sorry about the children being ill. Hope it won't be long before they are feeling better. When we hit 50 degrees the other day, did you open doors and windows to flush out the bugs? It felt like spring and was so great. Now back to the cold. Sorry about the red van. Did you find out what happened and why it just stopped? Did you ever get what you went out for? Need an update on that stuff. Love to all.

Again, ditto to Aunt Shirley. So glad we got the shot, hope the right strain comes around if any strain has to come around. What's up with Ruby?

You are just the best. You could make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I was just wondering how you all were doing. Sorry to hear the flu is spreading.
