MOTHER/DAUGHTER CAMPOUT

This weekend was our mother/daughter campout. We had a super great time!:) Thanks Jenny and Rachael for bringing your girls, providing the mattresses and for all the laughs. This is what we did for 3 hours. This is what THEY did while WE blew up mattresses. Here are the older, more "mature" cousins.
Here we have the "not so mature" cousins.:)
Sara Hutchins enjoying some hot chocolate with her whipped cream.
Gathering in the mess hall for some midnight snacks. We had overbaked nachos, watery hot chocolate and some seriously good water....see picture below! (YIKES) No joke, this is what my cup of water looked like. I guess it was okay that I forgot my IRON pills because all I had to do was down this "cup O Iron"!
Cuteness comes in two.
Oh, my daughter, will she ever grow up normal???
This is the "We're to cool to sleep with everyone else" group. They hid away in the other room.
Good morning! This is what we look like after being up all night... We celebrated Abbey's birthday in the morning.
Happy birthday Abber Dabbers!
Love these girls!

Fun times with my peeps.

See you gals nextweekend at TOFW!

THANKYOU

Tonight we went to our local fire department (and police department) to deliver some yummy cinnamon rolls and to thank our local heroes for all that they do for us. (thanks for the idea LL) As a treat to our family the firefighters gave us a personal tour of the fire department. (Kaleb still has a fever and wasn't able to go) The firefighters graced Ben with his very own hat.
Two of the three fire fighters on duty tonight.
Stevie sliding down the pole.
Ben checking out the truck.
Huh? What on earth is this???
*****
THANK YOU, WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

REMEMBER...

In Memory of the HEROES on 9/11.
We'll NEVER forget!
GOD BLESS THE USA
(this photo was taken the Friday after 9/11, when the whole United States stopped for a moment of silence. This picture of Steve and Kayla was picked up by the associated press and printed nationwide.)

RUNNING ON A FEVER

This is a picture of a kid playing soccer with a FEVER!
(who happens to be my child)
Fever boy still managed to assist on a goal.
And then score one himself.
They won 3-2.
The END.

MY NEW BEST FRIEND

Dear Mom,

I know I just got back from the Dr.'s office where I was told that my iron was really, really low and we had a nice conversation about my new diet and how it should contain lots and lots of "iron rich" foods. Well...after doing much research on my handy-dandy computer, I realized how much a diet rich in chocolate could help me with my iron problem. I got straight to work on my new diet by eating a WHOLE cadbury chocolate bar for lunch, and you know what? It even had ALMONDS in it - total BONUS. I'm feeling much better already!

(or is that the seratonin?)

Your loving daughter,

Becky

STEVIE MAREE

This morning as Stevie was getting ready for school I pulled out my camera to take a picture of her, don't know why...I was in the moment I guess. I just wanted ONE picture, a nice...smiling...picture. This is how the session went down. (All I know is this is NOT my child - don't know where THESE genes came from ...her dad?)
OH BROTHER!

AMEN!

WEEKEND GETAWAY

Thanks to my good husband, I was able to escape for the whole weekend. I spent it with fellow blogging friends, (thanks a bunch Smart Mama!), played a thousand games of scrabble with my parents, ate 3 lobsters with my mom, (thanks dad!) took a few naps and got to see my TWIN BROTHER for a whole day!

We talked, we ate, we laughed and laughed some more and then we went home...
(thanks for the picture LL)
Do we look anything like twins?:)
Mi Madre - I just love her...
We even got Ben into a game of scrabble - nice frito fingers...

See you next month for OUR birthday Ben!

UNITY THROUGH SERVICE

"Unity which comes to a family or to a people softened by the Spirit will bring great power. With that power will come recognition from the world. Whether that recognition brings praise or envy, it could lead us to pride. That would offend the Spirit. But there is a protection against pride, that sure source of disunity. It is to see the bounties which God pours upon us not only as a mark of His favor but an opportunity to join with those around us in greater service."
President Henry B. Eyring
