Some people keep asking me what "2nd degree heart block" is. Here (below) is a good explanation.
2nd degree heart block type I This rhythm is also called Mobitz I. It is also called Wenckebach. It consists of the PRI getting longer with each electric beat until eventually a P wave occurs but the QRS never shows (essentially skipping a beat). The process is then repeated. This is like showing up for work Monday an hour late, on Tuesday two hours late, and so on until Friday comes around and you don't even show up at all. The following Monday, you start the same cycle again. You could call this behavior "pulling a Wenckebach" but nobody would get it and people would just think you're weird. |

haha - yep you ARE weird ;) :)
thanks for the explanation. Hope they sort you out VERY soon!
don't you have any photos for us?
An open heart photo, perhaps?!
Sorry nothing else to say. The kings beat me too it. lol
People always think I am weird, so that is nothing new. I hope you get to feeling better soon and that all your parts start realizing they are a whole and then start acting like it. :) Love you bunches.
That is so cool that you see the heartbeat on the graph...but still a bit scary till you know what they will do to fix it for you...beta blockers maybe...before they do the pacemaker????
hope you are feeling better and they can find a way to fix this. Hugs
Honey, promise me you'll take care of yourself. I'm praying for an ER-free rest of the year for your entire family. That means no knee injuries either! Love you.
You just have to keep your life interesting, don't you sweet niece? Sorry for all you are going through and hope that things straighten out for you really soon. Just think about that precious new niece of yours--she is so beautiful!
If you really want to be weird, just go around singing what they taught us in nursing school to help remember the difference between Mobitz 1 and 2...
Lengthen, lengthen, lengthen, drop
I'm a type 1 Wenckebach
:-)
All the great ones are WIERD! Sorry to say..
I have a first grader and have been to her class,.. they are intense at times. Sorry your life is so exciting :(
