CHaD GOLF TOURNAMENT

Been a while since you've seen Ben, huh? Well...today was his big DEBUT at the Loudon, NH CHaD (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth) Golf Tournament. Why were we there? I got a phone call late last week asking us if we would be willing to come and represent the children that are helped by CHaD. I told him we would LOVE to go...on one condition..."Please don't make me speak." He chuckled and said that would be fine. Today was the day and so Ben, Stevie and I drove 30 minutes to Loudon and spent the afternoon hanging around and getting to meet some really nice people.

Here is Ben...looking so grown up!
Stevie was SO bored waiting more than an hour for the event to start so she passed her time taking pictures...lots of pictures...so many that you'd be here all day looking at them if I posted them. I'm sure you have better things to do so I'll spare you the pain and only post a few.
I had to take my turn photographing my cute daughter. She never fails to "strike a pose" when she sees the camera pointed at her...
Stevie loves this picture because if you look in the lens of my glasses, you can see her reflection - "how cool is that?" says she...
I love the way Stevie LOVES her brother...
"Yo Dude, I've got my eye on YOU!"
Before the luncheon/raffle/auction got under way, Stevie worked the crowd handing out CHaD flyers and pins...
My favorite part? When they kept calling her "Stephanie"...she hates being called "Stephanie". After a couple of hours of being there the golfers finally got it right.:)
For the raffle, Stevie was asked to draw out the tickets from this big box. We had a few tickets of our own but didn't win anything this time.
Stevie reading off the numbers of the ticket.

I'm adding this late because Stevie requested it. (probably cuz she took the video) If you watch it closely, about half way through you'll see her get really close to Ben's face. Now...just in case you aren't a professional "lip reader", let me translate. This is what Ben is saying to his dear sister. "Take the camera out of my face before I lick your nose with my tongue!"

I can't believe how big Stevie is, even though I see her nearly every week! Those are some good pictures! Also, you've got me motivated to come over SOME DAY..oh in like 5 years..ha ha..to come learn how to make some jam. (If you'll let me learn from you:)

Even though most of what we are growing is getting eaten (we didn't get much this year), I have been bagging and freezing stuff. However, canning is not on my list of specialties yet! AAAAHHHH! Anyway thanks for the post and MAYBE I'll share a photo of our food storage with all of Blogville, MAYBE! :)

Thank-you for your wonderful example...YOU ARE GREAT, BECKY!!!

The photographer in me absolutely adores that photo of Stevie reflected in your glasses. That's the kind of shot people spend hours trying to get - and still end up with something that doesn't look nearly as good as that one!

Erica...I would LOVE to teach you how to make jam, it's SO easy.

Adam, wow...can't wait to tell Stevie that. Thanks for sharing! (hope you are feeling better?)

Stevie, you are beautiful--you look just like your mom.
WAY TO GO BEN...you're famous. and you looked FABULOUS for your big debut. Love the shirt, love the hat. Love the picture of Stevie giving you a kiss.
And Becky the "got my eye on you" made me laugh out loud. Good stuff here on this blog.
Glad you guys had such a good day. Looks like the weather was loverly.

So Ben is the guy to have watching out for you! LOVED that shot of him with his eye poking out from under his hat... hilarious! And the other chuckle came from the line about Stevie being called Stephanie--I can totally picture her reaction when someone calls her the nemesis name; good mental images! And YOU, my dear, are GORGEOUS. If bloggers had models, I'd vote for you to be first on that cat walk!

I can believe how big Ben is getting. So skinny just like Sam. They grow so fast. Looks like you guys had a blast. :) We are well underway with school so our outings have been limited to picking the kids up and dropping them off at school. Love Ya, Stacie

Becky, you are gorgeous. You look so good and your kids are awesome. Stevie seems to be the absolute life of a party. Sorry, I haven't been on for a while, I saw that you moved addresses, but didn't update my google reader and so I never saw any new posts. When I realized what happened I felt like "I was as dumb as I look!" Nice job on the food storage, I wold love to post a picture of mine, but my house so small, the meager storage I have is strewn about in about 5 locations including under beds. Yikes, I need a bigger house!

I love the eye on you picture of Ben! Did you get a token golf club from the tournament? I never had so much freedom with a camera, had to wait for the development! It's a wonderful way for kids to express themselves (and entertain them when you have an hour to burn)

Always good to see all of your smiles. Thanks for the chat this morning. It helped get me get down my lonely road to the canyon.
