HIKING THE "G"!

Sometimes when you hike with a professor, you take the path less traveled.  That's what happened today.  Not sure how a "non-native" Utah-n (Zach) ended up being the trail blazer but somehow that's what happened.  And trail blaze we did, or maybe bush whack is a better word.  Seriously...the first 1/2 mile or so was STRAIGHT up the mountain.  Check out the first picture.  All the bums in the air should clue you in to how steep the climb was.  We were quite doubtful at times that we were going to make it but we did.  I was really impressed with Zach's 2 and 4 year old who walked most of the way and NEVER complained.  It was no easy hike either.  Kudos to David and Gabe.  Thankfully we found the well traveled path on the way down and did not have to endure prickers, treacherous cliffs, tall grass and deep ravines.  Made me appreciate that much more what the earlier pioneers had to endure on a daily basis.

ROAD TRIP (day 3)

650 miles and 3 states later we MADE IT!
It's good to finally arrive and be out of the car.
Now we get to relax and enjoy for a few days.
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Heidi and Junior
so that we can deliver the van to them.
THEN our mission will be accomplished.
Thanks so much for all of your support!
