this was her follow-up from JANUARY!
(only 7 months late)
She confirmed that Kayla does indeed suffer from JRA.
When we saw her back in January,
she was hoping that her symptoms
were a result of a virus instead.
Because she still has the signs and symptoms,
her doctor ruled out a virus and told us definitely JRA.
Her left knee was still really swollen, painful and stiff.
The doctor told us that she has quite a bit of fluid in that joint.
The doctor told us that she has quite a bit of fluid in that joint.
She wants Kayla to continue her naproxen
and see her back in a month.
If the fluid is not gone, she'll give her cortisone shots.

Poor kayla
ReplyDeleteKayla!!! you are tough.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they can find something to relieve the pain.
Good for you for still running!
Kayla--so sorry you have so much pain in your joints. You were a trooper to continue to run.
ReplyDeleteKayla is so brave- like her mom! Good luck
ReplyDeleteDay by day momma. I am sorry that she has to suffer through this.
ReplyDeleteHave you done some research into a special diet that might help? No dairy...? I'm so sorry. She is a trooper, that's for sure, and dang cute. Miss that girl! Friends and all ;-)
ReplyDeleteGo Kayla go.
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there to cheer you on...maybe next year.
Mimi loves you.
Becky I had to take naproxen growing up for my arthritis, but now I take tylenol or ibprofen if my legs hurt alot! I know how Kayla feels.
