While I was napping...

my dough apparently wasn't.

  1. OOPS! (Hilarious growing dough!) Only so funny because I don't have to clean up the sticky appliance afterwards. I'm sure you had DELICIOUS bread product with such active yeast. And BTW--where's the fiber in that bowl I'm asking you? It's lookin' mighty white.

  2. I was hoping I could match it to my pasty white skin from lack of sun this summer...is it working?

  3. I thought that a kitchen mess of that scale could only ever be achieved by a man. :)

  4. I couldn't imagine what that was until I read your note--what a mess! How did the bread come out?
Guess you won't take a nap again when making bread dough, or at least time it. The poor little dough boy "melted"!

  5. It's ALIVE!!!

In culinary school we had bread in an 80qt mixer, there was a fire alarm in one of the kitchen and we were all evacuated for several hours. That mess took the whole class all afternoon to clean up and it all had to be tossed because it was on the floor.

So I have felt your pain, but I am still laughing at you!!!

  13. The other day I tried to make the dough in my bread machine and forgot to put the paddle in. As I was ready to add the yeast I realized my mistake, dumped the pan and put the paddle in. In my hurry to add the glop back in the pan, I forgot to add the yeast. Batch number 2 was heavenly though. So light and airy.
    Mmmm. I love fresh bread.
I wish I could see some of LL's bread dough. hee, hee.
